Hello, my name is Aaron Swiss-Hamlett. I’m 27 years old, and I currently work as a Junior Programmer for Inspired Gaming.

Currently, I am working on a personal project in Unreal Engine 4.26. This project is a story based third person shooter. It utilises many aspects of the engine to achieve the goals I am setting out to accomplish with the project.

Previously, I have worked on the following personal projects:

  • Developing an On-Rails Shooter Game in the vein of House of the Dead
  • Researching, learning and developing my own Game Engine from scratch

I have studied Video Game Development (MSc) at Birmingham City University, England with a Commendation. Previously, I completed my undergraduate Games Technology (BSc) degree at Coventry University, England with a 2:1 classification.

On this website, you will find my portfolio, including my best projects, as well as interests in game design as a hobby, along with my blog in one convenient place.

I have been playing games since I was two years old and have played a vast library of games. Below are some of the games and franchises I believe define me as a gamer :

My favourite game series of all time is Namco’s Klonoa games that, as a young child, made me fall in love with games. Other games and franchises that I have enjoyed playing over the years include: Resident Evil, Castlevania, Advance Wars, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, League of Legends, Warframe, Diablo, World of Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot and Viva Pinata . As such, I believe I am influenced the most by Japanese developers however, I enjoy games from all backgrounds.

Since Janurary 2021, I have been streaming to my Twitch Channel 4 days a week. These days are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. On Sundays, I do a Speedrun Sunday stream where I run one of my favourite games, Velocity 2X, and beat the world record times that I have been able to set in the game’s categories defined on speedrun.com.
